Bridging the Gap Between the Classroom and the Job Site

I have spent my entire adult life in the construction trades. My journey began over 40 years ago, starting just where you are now—learning the ropes as a Plumbing apprentice, working on the tools, and mastering the craft of plumbing and gas. After two decades in the field, also running my own plumbing company for a short while, I moved into education to allow me to pass on my skills. For the last 20+ years, I have served as a college lecturer and assessor. I've guided hundreds of students through their qualifications, from their first soldered joint to their final Gas Safe assessments.

Why have I created this Site

Recently, I decided to retire from full-time lecturing, but I realized I wasn't ready to leave the industry behind. I noticed a gap: many trainees have the hands-on skills but struggle with the academic side or the specific requirements of assessments.

So, I am creating this site, not to replace your college or work place training, but to enhance your learning by providing you an opportunity to assess your academic knowledge in order to help you pass your knowledge test assessments and ultimately the final End Point Assessment or EPA.

I have been assessing EPAs for a number of years since the first inception of the EPA, so I think I know a little bit about passing them.

I built this platform to use my experience to help you. Whether you are an apprentice building your 'On site evidence portfolio' or an experienced plumber looking to update your credentials or just looking for helpful knowledge. I know exactly what the awarding bodies are looking for and I can show you how to demonstrate it.

My Philosophy: “Assessment isn't about catching you out"; it's about confirming you're ready to work safely and professionally.

"Let's get you qualified.”
